Bondora News

The month of February has gone by so fast. This month we explained why your verification might take longer time, how verification relates to your money being reserved, the requirements for ID verification and lastly 3 finance books you need to read this year to keep your investing mind sharp. Jump in below for more.

Why is my money reserved on my account?

Did you recently sign up to become an investor, added money to your account, and now your money is being reserved? Find out why in this video.

To sign up as an investor, you have to complete the KYC or Know Your Customer form, as well as your account verification. If you haven’t completed your verification, but you’ve already added money to your account, then it will be reserved. This means the money won’t be invested, and you won’t earn returns while it’s reserved.

To access your money and the full power of your account, simply complete your account verification, and then you’ll be able to invest your money and start to build the financial future of your dreams.

Why is my account verification taking longer?

We post one video every week to answer your questions, provide financial tips, and to show you how to get the most out of your Bondora account. Make sure you subscribe to our channel, so you never miss a video. Today we’ll talk about what to do when your account verification is taking longer than expected.

If you recently signed up to become an investor, you had to complete the KYC or Know Your Customer form. You also had to complete your bank account and ID verification. You can’t access the full power of your Bondora account before you’ve completed the entire verification process.

If you’ve uploaded all the required documents and completed all the required fields, it will take our qualified teams roughly 24 hours to complete your verification. If it’s been longer than 24 hours to get your account verified, then it means that we have a backlog due to weekends & holiday breaks, or because some documents are missing or weren’t uploaded correctly.

All you have to do is wait one more business day, and if your account is still not verified, then you can contact our support team through our support site, and we’ll get it sorted for you. You can find the support link here.

What are the ID verification requirements?

If you’re new to Bondora and haven’t verified your identity yet, then you need to watch this video.

Verifying your identity is vital in the authentication process, as the information you provide helps us protect your money and your account. So, getting the ID verification right is essential. Here are all the requirements and tips you need to get your ID verification done in no time.

To verify your identity, you need to provide a good color copy of your identity document.

Your identity document can be:

  • Your passport,
  • Both sides of your ID card, or
  • Your driver’s license

Once you have chosen which document you’ll use, you can scan it, or take a photo of it using a camera or smartphone.

Please ensure that:

  • The document is valid and has not expired.
  • It is a good quality, color image
  • The image isn’t blurry
  • No edges are cut off or covered,
  • All the information is clear and easy to read
  • No watermarks or other changes are allowed

If you are taking a photo of your ID, please make sure it’s a good quality and in color. Take the photo in natural light without using the flash.

Last but not least, please upload the file in either jpg, pdf and png format. And that’s all you need to know to complete your ID verification.
