Top questions from investors in May - Bondora

1. I’ve made my deposit and let you know about it on my account, but my bank account still shows unverified – why is that?

To verify your bank account, we need to have received a regular bank transfer (SEPA) from you. Any other method such as a payment from your card or via Trustly, Klarna or any other provider doesn’t verify your bank details.

I have made payments via card

Please make sure to send also a verification payment in any amount (e.g., 0,01€) via regular bank transfer (SEPA option – here). This will validate the ownership of the bank account and helps us to ensure the safety of your money and account. Regarding your credit card – we can only send the same amount that arrived from it. By verifying your bank account, you can withdraw everything from your account.

I have made payments via TransferWise

Either do the same as explained above and send us a verification payment, or fill in your bank details on your account and submit it for verification. Please note that we can only verify your personal bank account.

2. I’ve set up a recurring payment to add money to my Go & Grow account once per month, but can I also add additional payments to it whenever I’d like or will it affect my statistics?

Sure, you can add additional payments to your existing Go & Grow account at any time, for example, via SEPA. This will help you to reach your initial goal faster. Go & Grow is flexible, and its dashboard allows you to change your plan and edit your goal at any time.

If you don’t quite like the idea of changing the initial plan, you can always create a totally new Go & Grow account with it’s separate target and goal. Every user can have up to 3. To open a new one, click on the “hamburger” icon in the upper right of the Go & Grow main page and choose “Create a new Go & Grow account” – and it’s done!

3. My Portfolio Pro account has not invested all my money yet, only into a couple of loans. Why?

Overall, there are more long-term loans on the platform (36+ months), so if you have set stricter criteria to your Portfolio Pro and limited the loan duration to the minimum, it may not easily find enough loans and hence can slow down the investing pace.

To access more loans to invest in, you may want to review your criteria and create a new Pro strategy with increased loan durations, i.e. to 36 months and above.
