Top questions from investors in September 2019 – Answered by Kairi

Bondora News

Hi there! I’m Kairi, and I joined Bondora more than five years ago in 2013 when there were fewer than ten people in the company. Today, Bondora has over 80,000 investors (this number is growing daily) from 85 countries all around the world who’ve invested more than €270M.

Top questions from investors

Starting as an assistant, I’ve worked across several departments within Bondora, and I’m now leading our Investor Associate’s team. We strive to give first-class customer service to all of our investors. Here’s a little overview of the commonly asked questions during September. Happy reading.

1. Do you plan to release an app?

Yes – it is planned toward the end of the year. Initially, it will be only for an exclusive number of existing Go & Grow investors.

Creating an app was actually one of the ideas that stood out from many that our investors have submitted via Wishlist over the past year. In our last monthly overview, we told you about Wishlist and the recent improvements to it. It’s now even more convenient to submit, track, and upvote the ideas.

Ahem. Feel free to submit yours – we’d love to get your help to create a better platform for all investors!

2. Are loans issued by the platform, or via originators/intermediates?

Under the legal structure which Bondora operates, the loan originator can only be Bondora. This means that Bondora issues all loans itself and doesn’t use intermediates.

3. How can I change/cancel my recurring payment plan?

You can change your subscription or stop your recurring payments anytime you wish. To review your current recurring payment plan and change it:

1- Click the ‘Add money’ tab from the left menu and select the card icon:

2 – You will be given the option to make changes/deactivate it.

3 – And it’s done!

4. I invested 1000€ in the first 30 days of my Bondora account, but the person who referred me didn’t get the 5% of referral bonus (50€) that I see under my “Invite Friends” tab, but 25€ and I also received 25€. Is this an error?

We have different referral incentives in use, which are assigned randomly.
This means that you and your friend might have different incentives.

In this scenario – if you refer someone to Bondora, you’ll get 5% of whatever they invested within their first 30 days since registering. However, the person who referred you had a different incentive applied to their account. For more details, please double-check the exact terms that apply from the Terms and Conditions, below the ‘Invite Friends’ page.

5. Can I open an account for my family members – e.g., children, grandparents?

Account for minors - Bondora

It’s not possible to open an account for minors or on behalf of other persons, but we have a solution for this! You can easily create up to 3 separate Go & Grow accounts within your own Bondora account – all with a separate goal.

For example, you may want to invest for your child’s future university costs or grandparent’s holiday trip. All of this can be achieved—and achieved easily—with Go & Grow.
