I began my journey at Bondora at the beginning of 2022 when the opportunity of this new challenge presented. I’m from Argentina, and I moved to Spain in 2019, and I’ve been working in the fintech world since then. When the opportunity of joining Bondora presented itself, I grabbed it with both hands since I love working in the fintech industry, traveling, and getting to know new cultures. So far, I love Tallinn and its people.
A typical day for Emilia is not so typical…
Fun fact, unlike most Bondorians, I don’t like coffee or any other hot drinks, and I don’t eat breakfast, so my mornings are quite boring in that sense 😬 I begin the day by updating my tasks and planning early meetings. We then have our daily stand up with the team, where we plan the day and share insights about our activities. I follow my Asana board to see my priorities for the day and the week, while interacting with other teammates via Slack.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
It’s awesome to be part of a project that keeps growing. Helping and learning about Bondora’s expansion to help more people is very satisfying. In addition, I can say that I’m surrounded by teammates who are experts in their fields and push me to become a better professional every day.
What’s your favorite Bondora value?
Keep it simple. I like things to be straightforward and clear while accomplishing what I set out to do.
What is your random, odd, or unique but useful talent?
My memory. I can quote complete dialogues from different movies and TV shows. It’s not that useful, but it’s incredible how much information my brain can store 🤣
If you could study anything again, what would you choose?
Cinematography. It has nothing to do with how my life has turned out, but I love movies, drama, and everything within the world of cinema.

What is your best investment advice?
Begin investing when you are young and learn about personal finances. It might be tempting to have more money to spend, but later on, you will be grateful for investing in your future. And as someone in marketing, I must suggest trying Go & Grow for easy online investing 😀

If you could, what advice would you give your younger self?
Stress less about things. Small people, small problems.
Should pineapple be allowed on pizza?
Of course. I love sweet and salty food combos, so I’m an active defender of fruits on food.
What’s your favorite TV show?
Friends. I still laugh with this show as I did 10 years ago.
What’s the phone app that you use the most?
Spotify and WhatsApp. I love music, so I’m constantly on Spotify, but I use WhatsApp quite a lot to connect with my family and friends from Argentina.
How many times do you hit the snooze button, or do you wake up immediately in the morning?
Not even once. I usually wake up before the alarm sounds, but if not, I wake up immediately.
What’s something you want to do but scares you?
To do long road trips on a motorcycle. I love road trips and bikes, but I’m still afraid to put them together.
And finally, what do you like to do in your free time?
I love being with friends and hanging out. I also love F1, so my Sundays are quite sacred whenever there is a race.
